It's pretty slick and the financial inducements are quite attractive. But I think it would only really attract people who have no idea of the pressures and ridiculous workload involved in teaching.

Might be a few that get suckered in by it by I doubt it will be many.

I think the word that the education system in the UK is in crisis and a totally toxic environment is getting around. In any case, anyone who does try teaching nowadays is probably in for a rude awakening.

Plus, why is is necessary to tell so many lies? Most of those "teachers make..." soundbites are total rubbish. And note, it is not just teachers who do these things but good teachers. They still can't help getting the dig in.

My daughter said the other day "What is it with teachers?" Two of her friends (30) are primary school teachers and are constantly stressed. I told her.
She, in the legal world, has just had an automatic pay increase and will get a bonus of a few thousand at Christmas. Leaves work at 5.30 and rarely takes it home.

Yep. My daughter, in her twenties, is paid 50k and doesn't have observations etc. Business trips to exotic locations and lots of praise.

The advert, whilst very professional, is all ********. One cannot polish a turd.

How telling that they have spent all this money on adverts as if no one has heard of teaching as a career? Could it be that the government are desperate !

I would like to say how magnanimous it is of @lanokia to 'like' @emerald52's post about her daughter. Considering lanokia is currently a practitioner in a school and thus a sad mug/victim/optimist it reflects very well upon him to be so generous when he probably would rather punch her.

I wanted the business trips to exotic locales!

Also... not in a school anymore.

And... right now Swindon would qualify as an exotic locale!
