"I'm good" is such an annoying reply and is often pronounced "I'm guuuuud" with a ridiculous downward fall that really does deserve a smack. I'm right with you @ShowerGel

I also absolutely hate the phrase 'go-to'. "That's my go-to dress...that's my go-to lunch". Bleuuurgh.

"Not a problem" as a substitute for 'Yes' or 'OK'.

I hate phrases such as the McD's "I'm loving it" with the gerund when a simple present would do. I know it's appropriate in some situations but it's greatly overused these days.

And today I'm hating that phrase "50 years ago today" ......

I hate it when couples say "we" all the time never "I"
    "We think America is wonderful.."
"We haven't tried sourdough bread yet.."

@magic surf bus Oh yes "no problem" Too ******* right! Also ".... for me" as in "Would you like to sit down here for me." It's not all about you, whoever you are.

    Using 'impact' as a verb.

Also 'protest' with a direct object.

"We're protesting fracking." No, no, no. You are protesting AGAINST fracking.

    Sounds odd but I really hate some of the daft words teenagers use, this may finally explain what they mean if you don't already;
    • Pap- meaning photograph (I hate this one more than the others)
    • Man- in the context of replacing 'I' with 'man' eg 'Man is angry' :)mad:)
    • Vexed- frustration
    • Peak- negative situation
    • Totes- Totally
    • Jel- jealous
    • Sick- actually good
    • Bad- ^^^
    • Murk- violent
    • Dano- from a horrible type of music called 'grime'
    • Hench- tough or muscley
    • Netflix and Chill- basically intercourse
    • Cheeky nandos- going to the Nando's restaurant (what makes it cheeky I haven't a clue)
    • Savage- also good
    • Peep- friend

I hate the phrase 'from the get go'. What on earth is that all about?
  20. ShowerGel

    From the get go..! Appalling!

'The school run' - You're taking the kids to school for ****** sake! That's it. It's no big deal and needs no special title.
'Play date' - The kids are having a little play together. It's normal and everyday. They're just playing in the garden with the kids next door. Kids play the whole time.
'Date' implies a teenager going out with a bloke they've fancied for a while.

Give me strength - it's only 9a.m and I'm already cross...
