Has anyone got any advice about ill health retirement?

I have also posted on Health and wellbeing. I am seriously considering this, after an unsuccessful return to work. I have had 34 weeks off since 2006, (off and on) and feel that my body is trying to tell me something perhaps? I would appreciate any practical advice.
  2. All I know is that ill health retirement is EXTREMELY hard to get.

Based on your own experience, or someone else?
  4. Talk to your union for advice.

Completely agree with Black Dog.Please discuss this matter with your Union. I do not mean your school rep,but the Local Secretary or the Regional Centre. These people have the experience ,of dealing with individual casework and should be able to give you good advice.
