has anyone else read duncton wood by william horwood?

    Oh yes - some of my favourite books are the tales of the moles of Duncton wood!
    And yes, I remember reading 3 of them - a trilogy.
    Absolutely fantastic - and much much better than Watership Down!
  3. Yup, I loved them when I first read them. Never gone back to them since...maybe it's time!
  4. i first read them when i was in my late teens and after reading them again recently, i realised they've had a huge influence on everything i think and say and do.
    bracken, rebecca, boswell and comfrey are my role models!!!! it's such a pity they are all out of print - i'd love to use them in class.
  5. I had a look at the author's web site and there are 6 books in the Duncton Wood series. Also the wolves books i remembered are by the same author and called The Wolves of Time - also excellent reading.
    try local libraries for copies
