The Cure's frontman since 1976. I discovered them aged 17 when Seventeen Seconds came out, and after playing "A Forest" to death, when I was 18 the incredible album "Faith" came out, which I again played incessantly. Then, aged19, the album "Pornography" came out (that will be asterisked out by the TES censors) with the utterly magnificent, intense track, The Figurehead. Truly Smith was the voice of my adolescence. I tell you what, still play The Cure albums and songs occasionally, and they are still amazing. Happy Birthday, and thank you, Robert!

Was he the one with a perpetual bad hair day?

You're only allowed to say that if you are in possession of a sharpened stake.

Me? What am I going to do with my sharpened stake if so?

Wasn't he the one hit wonder who looked like he had a skunk on his head? Cure were a bit more long lasting in a soppy whiny kinda way.

Limahl was a one hit wonder with an awful mullet. But the Cure soppy and whiny? How very dare you!

the stake is for driving through his heart

    Limahl's? I wouldn't miss him...

But that sounded a bit harsh. I'm not sure a bad hair cut actually deserves staking.

For some reason I always found him quite attractive.

With a stake through his heart - not attractive.

Wonder what happened to him ?

I meant Robert Smith not Limahl .

I really fancied Judie Tzuke - she had an amazing voice that lady.
