Handa's Surprise

Discussion in 'Primary' started by Avoca, Feb 13, 2006.

  1. I teach year 1 and we are looking at Handa's Surprise after half term. We are also going to do our assembly on this and I am trying to plan it. I want the children to act out the story, does anyone know where I could get an african dress for the child playing Handa to wear?

Also, has anyone got any ideas of any poems/rhymes/songs for the whole class to learn which would go well with this topic?

  5. Hi I have just seen this post. I am doing an assembly on Handa's Surprise and am trying to find a song the children can sing that is linked to the story.
Can you help? Would you be willing to share your song?
    Thanks
