I am soooo happy it is half term. Not sure if the happiness is more or less than the Easter break happiness though.

I am going to sleep, sleep, sleep and then sleep. Once I have slept enough I am going to continue to tackle the garden. The sleep some more.
I promised some of the muslim students that I would fast with them for one day. They advised that I do the last day as it is the shortest...good advice I thought.

Come on time to share again.

The best thing about my schooldays was always the holidays. Isn't that true of almost everyone?

Clean my house, sort out my paperwork mountain, catch up with friends, sit in the garden, read, and just enjoy every minute! I'm not going to think about work AT ALL.

I've become increasing convinced that the sole reason for bank holidays is to give us the time to empty our wallets in DIY stores in the hope that a better life might be around the corner, once we can find the time to use what we've purchased.

Let's be honest. Everything bought on Monday won't be used for quite some while and will be a pain in the butt to store until it can be. This year's paint colours will be old hat when the opportunity to decorate next comes around.

Get yourselves down to the pub this bank holiday and use the money you'd have tied up in paint and other shoite that would hang over you like the sword of Damocles on having a social life instead.

Off to Portugal, to empty beaches, lovely food and five days of reading, walking and swimming and sleeping.

Oh and I don't have half term so just the weekend to entertain them!

Scotland. We probably get the same amount of holidays but we don't have holidays between Xmas and Easter and Easter and summer, apart from one Monday in February and may day holiday. As a results, those terms are really long.

Going on a girls' trip to Spain. :)
Then giving this filthy house a good clean prior to family visiting next weekend.

Off to Belgium for a mini-break, with my daughter. A rather under-rated country IMO; we've visited several times and always enjoy it.
Apart from that, I plan to do some de-cluttering!
