GTP vs PGCE interview Primary

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by lwright88, Jan 12, 2012.

  1. So I've had my PGCE interview and have a GTP one coming up. How do the interviews differ?
And are GTP's looking for a greater knowledge compared to the PGCEs? The first stage of the interview is
tests and a interview. Any help would be appreciated!
  2. I've prepared to answer that question. My main concern is if the they both asked: "What is your understanding of inclusion" would the GTP expect a greater level of understanding compared with the PGCE?
  3. I don't think that their expectations would be hugely different for that particular question, no. That said, however, if you prepare to the best of your ability then that's the best you can do. Better to know too much than not enough! :)
