GTP to NQT

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by Rhianna09, Feb 25, 2012.

  1. Dear Theo
Currently I am employed on a GTP programme up until July 2012. The school has made me aware that there will be position available from Sept for an NQT. As I am presently employed by the school would this mean that I would have to apply for the position or could I automatically be promoted to an NQT.

It all depends on what the governors/Local Authority have as their normal procedures for appointment. I think that it is most likely that these will require posts to be advertised, so you would apply like anyone else.
So do start reading up on all the advice in the shortlisting clickables inside the Welcome thread, so you are all ready to put in a super application that really shows your strengths.
    Best wishes
