GTP INTERVIEW!! URGENT HELP!!

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by Becks1988, Mar 6, 2012.

  1. Hi guys I have two interviews this week (Thursday/Friday 8/9th March 2012) with schools for the GTP. One is the school I volunteer at and they have no specific requirements but the other is an unfamiliar school to me and they are asking for a 5 mins presentation about myself and why I have chosen their school. Any help would be great I have already read the threads about presentations which were very helpful but any extra advice is greatly recieved.

I am trying to clue myself up on the curriculum and teaching methods but feel a little out of my depth..Anything else I can try? This is my first time applying so I'm incredibly happy that I got even one interview let alone two! Please help guys!

    Thanks

    Becks

  2. Sorry, I don't know you, so can't help much there I'm afraid.
Sorry, don't know the school either.
This may seem harsh, but you have given the dates of your interviews and your username means that if any of your interviewers were to read this thread they'd have a pretty good idea of who you are.
You've done the right thing by reading through previous advice-giving threads, and you've highlighted a couple of worthwhile areas which you are reading up on, but what else are you asking for? If you've got a volunteering position school and have managed to get two GTP interviews you are probably quite a strong candidate and well organised - but your post does not give that impression.
Come up with some ideas for yourself, go with your gut instinct (a big part of being a succesful teacher) and go in there believing in yourself!

  3. I got offered both schools! :)

    thanks for your help.
