GTP Application - choosing a key stage

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by sophielouise17, Nov 13, 2011.

  1. Hello!

I am putting the finishing touches to my GTP personal statement, and need to state which key stage I am interested in working with. I have experience in KS1 and Lower KS2, and have enjoyed both immensely. Should I say that I would be happy to be placed in either KS, or does it look better to definitely choose one?

What does the form specify? -does it tell you to choose one or either???
Places on the GTP are highly sought after - if you are willing to do either key stage it shows willingness on your part- could it increase your chances on getting on?
But if you think you have strength in a particular one and want to nature this -then choose one key stage.- Remember KS2 also consists of Year ,5, 6. and not just Year 3 and 4.
    Hope this helps
    Good luck!!
