Any ideas? Is Percy Jackson too much for a year 4? I like to choose books that really capture their interest and are different to what we might read in literacy!

  3. Hi I am a TA in year 4, we have just finished reading Percy Jackson. The children absolutely loved it. They followed the plot with no trouble and really liked the humour and the monsters! Also earlier in the year we read The Red Pyramid, which is Rick Riordan's Ancient Egyptian themed story, the pupils enjoyed this too, although some of our lower ability pupils found the plot tricky to follow. I would definitely recommend you try out Percy Jackson with your class.

  4. I use Varjak Paw with my year 4 class.
