I think it sounds rather good.

Not that I'll watch it. Ruddy ads.

    But it could work.

I like them both, but my love affair with Bake Off is over - same with Strictly. I doubt I'll watch it.

I like Sandy Toksvig, can't stand Noel Fielding.

90% of the time I watched it on iPlayer, the C4 equivalent is less easy to use.

    Bleddy adverts too.

    Probably won't bother.

I've never heard of Noel Fielding but Pru Leith is a fantastic cook. She has been one of the judges on the Great British Menu and written many books. It will be interesting watching it!

I think the formula had run its course any way. The challenges were at times becoming ridiculous. The joy of the earlier series was that the contestants were real home bakers (not spending hours and hours practising their bakes).I was getting the feeling that for some of the contestants, this was more like an audition for mini-stardom/book deal/career move etc.rather than a home home bakers modest and temporary 5 minutes of fame.

    Might be good

But I won't be watching again.

I watched an episode of the new Top Gear last Sunday - perfectly OK but it didn't grab me.

It's dead. They are now merely debating the funeral rites...

Never watched the original (its just bl**dy cooking) and certainly won't watch one interrupted by adverts. Tostvig just seems to be the expected replacement at the moment. She must have a good agent.

Pru Leith was my judge on MasterChef. She's a tough cookie ('scuse the pun!).
I love Sandy Toksvig but never heard of the other bloke.
    Then there's the adverts.
    Just not the BBC.
No longer my cup of tea!

Love Sandy and like Pru. Can't say I get the Fielding thing but who knows ? Can't stand Hollywood on any channel .

I'll stick with the pottery and the art. And Strictly. The BBC have failed to recommissioning the Sewing Bee, which has annoyed me considerably, but Bake Off won't work in ten minute segments.

And there won't be time for Sue to wander round a patisserie finding out about the history of the macaron either!:(

No more Sewing Bee? I could weep!

    Some alternatives could replace it...

The Great British Knit One Purl One
    The Great Crochet Hook Through
The Great British, um, Decoupage, um,

    ...or perhaps not!

    The Great British School Dinner?

You have £1.25 to make a nutritious 2-course meal.

There are 2 adult judges to award points based on vitamins, calories etc. Plus 5 kids to eat it. You can gain extra points by shaving pennies off the cost but you might lose out on nutrition points if you do that.

GBBO isn't GBBO without Mary Berry, Mel and Sue. I shan't be watching. I like Noel Fielding. I like Sandi Toksvig. But not together instead of Mel and Sue and not as the hosts of GBBO.

Nope. See my foot? It's coming down.
