(so not 88% as some reports have suggested...)

Thank you very much

Molesworth - your figures are correct for the linear paper (as was requested) but the modular figures were (and I think this is where the talked about 80%+ required for C grade is coming from):

FOUNDATION

Unit 1 (Data Handling) - 90% needed for a C grade

Unit 2 (Num, Alg, SSM) - 82% needed for a C grade

Terminal Paper1 (Num, Alg, SSM) - 77% needed for a C

Terminal Paper 2 (Num, Alg, SSM) - 82% needed for a C

Overall (due to weightings) a mark of 83% was required for a C grade on EdExcel Modular Foundation.

For Higher the figures were:

Unit 1 (Data Handling) - 43% needed for a C grade

Unit 2 (Num, Alg, SSM) - 40% needed for a C grade

Terminal Paper1 (Num, Alg, SSM) - 38% needed for a C

Terminal Paper 2 (Num, Alg, SSM) - 43% needed for a C

Overall (due to weightings) a mark of 41% was required for a C grade on EdExcel Modular Higher.

As an aside the overall mark required for an A* at EdExcel Modular was 92%.
