Another fine actor dies aged 88 years. I really used to like him.
Very sad. I have an image in my head of him in "It ain't arf hot mum " with that wonderful moustache twitching
Have to say I thought he'd passed away years ago... But still sad to see him go.
Oh dear, how sad, never mind
It's a quote.
Sad - as a kid I really loved that programme and remember feeling sad when it ended.
A great actor, now duetting with another great actor at an afterlife near you:
I remember him and like FrankW I thought he'd gone years ago.
Thinking of Donald Sinden ? Not sure if he is still around ?
I loved It Ain't Half Hot Mum as a child. Sad news.
Classic comedy which the BBC will never broadcast again.
Crikey he was still alive?
Wow... yet as soon as I hear his name I can hear his voice too... ah good memories.
Perhaps because it wasn't as PC as It could have been.
Still very funny though.
I always thought so.
I sniggered at the [women] translation.
Me too. Really sad to hear this today. Grew up on their stuff. “Right, you lovely boyeees...”
Windsor was a great character actor. The only trouble was he could only play one character! He did a great job in It ain't half hot mum because basically that was his character.
His performance on the video for his number one hit single with Don Estells, Whispering Grass however was fist-gnawingly, buttock-clenchingly cringeworthy.
Former teacher as well
Seem to remember he was in a couple of Carry On films too??? RIP lovely boy.
Very sad. From a part of Wales that im from. A shame that show can’t be shown in tv anymore. It wasn’t nasty. It was fun. He also starred in a great show called Grand Slam which is still very funny!
