When I was in Year 1 we read Dilly the Dinosaur stories, they were great! Or what about the longer version (as opposed to the picture book version) of The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark?

  2. My year 2s love the Troll series by Alan Macdonald. Trolls Go Home is the first one. They are very funny and the children are always asking for more.

  3. I like Roald Dahl. We're reading Matilda at the moment (slightly censored!) and they love it.
