    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good Spanish films that would be suitable for Year 7? I'm looking to do a Spanish film topic next half term but not sure what would be suitable!

I have recently purchased "El libro de la Vida" (from amazon.es - the UK site does not have a Spanish version) which is appropriate for Year 7. It is produced by Guillermo del Toro and is set in Mexico. There are many cultural and language opportunities that could be exploited to go with the film.
In terms of a SOL, I have ordered an Exploring El Libro de la Vida pack from www.zigzageducation.co.uk which is on pre-order and is due to arrive before 16th June. If their other resources are anything to go by, then this will be very comprehensive - this might be worth a look for you as well.

Valetin is great, Set in Buenos Aires in 1968. Very suitable for Year 7 and 8. They love it. Google resources for it or track them down through routes into languages website. I recommend it.

Have put together a list of Spanish dvds with links to online resources which might be helpful when selecting a film

Also here is a link to Spanish films under directors and topics.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

Zipi y Zape y el club de la canica is good fun - a bit like Harry Potter, with lots of laughs and a bit of an adventure. Very light - but I find that y7 love it.
