good grades in Maths & FM, but not matched by 3rd subject - which unis?

  1. I notice on the Leeds Uni website that if a student is taking maths & further maths, they'll base their offer on just those two subjects. Are there any other universities that take this approach?

  3. Not sure but I know Leeds are not in the top 30 Unis for maths in the UK which may be the reason?
Saying that, although slightly different, The OU will literally have anyone do a degree and whilst not the same some institutes may be driven by bums on seats.
On a slightly different note I really dont think you should need a second subject to get onto your chosen degree though but I appreciate why top unis will require it to differentiate further with high application levels.
