How about Anthony Browne, especially if you can share the images - PowerPoint, visualiser. Voices in the park is great for viewpoint and there are bags of fabulous things going on in each illustration. Lots of opportunity for discussion and the children love pointing out the visual jokes. In any case, you can't go wrong when the characters are gorillas!
My year 3's loved Meerkat Mail by Emily Gravett.
About a meerkat who goes round the world sending postcards home and the post cards are in the book and flap out etc. Kids loved it because was engaging and relevant to their lives in terms of the PSHE issues it touches on like keeping in contact with each other, missing home etc, wanting what is somewhere different to where you currently are etc.
