Good anthologies for songs

Discussion in 'Primary' started by wisewinston, Aug 28, 2015.

  1. Yikes. I have just found out I have to teach music this year to my Year 3 class. Haven't done that since I qualified 15 years ago. Yikes again. I am reasonably sorted on schemes of work and recorders but I would love to get hold of a good book/CD/website/whatever with songs for us to sing. I would love to avoid songs that are too 'icky' - something with some fun, oomph and creativity.

    Any ideas?

Sing Up is good, but you have to pay for membership to access most of the songs.

I'd ask your head teacher if you can have a subscription to the Sing Up website.

    https://www.singup.org.

This site has fab selection of songs, backing tracks etc.
