Golden Hello

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by cilem123, Mar 12, 2011.

  1. Dear James,

I started for my PGCE in September 2010 but had to defer my course for next year due to health reasons. Hopefully I will be qualified in June 2012. Will I be still eligible to apply to Golden Hello ?
    Thanks

  2. I doubt it. You need to have started your PGCE in 2010/11 academic year and registered with GTC as student teacher. As you are not, you are most unlikely to be eligible. Postponement is simply an internal arrangement by your training provider, and when you start, you do so as 2011/12 trainee.

  3. Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have started my PGCE in 2010/2011 and already registered with GTC as a student teacher. I had to defer my course for next year. Do you think I will be able to apply to Golden Hello?
