Hi because we are a church of England school, our new head has decided that we sing or say a going home prayer everyday. Does anyone have any ideas for nursery aged children?

    Thanks

  3. I say a simple end of day prayer with my Reception class that is very easy for the children to pick up. Its not very inventive but here it is..
Thank you lord for this nice day.
Bless our friends, our work, our play.
    Amen

    Hope this helps.

Lord keep us safe this night
    Secure from all our fears
May angels guide us while we sleep
    Until morning light appears

  8. Hello,
Ours is a very simple prayer as follows:

We fold our hands and softer say,
Thank you for our lovely day,
    Amen.

    Short but sweet

  9. Sorry should say:

    ...softly say,

    I have a dyslexic finger!

  10. Father in Heaven I come to say
    Thankyou for your love today
    Thankyou for my family
And all the friends you give to me
Guard me in the dark of night
And in the morning send your light

Sounds long but they learn it so quickly. Afterwards we do the sign of the cross which they also love.

  11. we are a church of england school too and this is our end of day prayer...

    God loves you.

  14. We all sit nicely at the end of the day and...

    Hands together, softly so,
    Little eyes shut tight,
    Father just before we go,
    Hear our Prayers tonight,
    Amen.

  17. Hands together, softly so,
    Little eyes shut tight,
    Father just before we go,
    Hear our prayers tonight.
We are all God's children here,
    This is what we pray,
Keep us safely through the night
    And through every day.
    Amen
