Glandular fever - blood test results

Discussion in 'Health and wellbeing' started by chocolate_cupcake, Mar 16, 2012.

  1. Hi all,

I had a blood test for glandular fever on Tuesday. The nurse said to phone back in a week for results. However, I haven't heard anything and I'm guessing if they found something like glandular fever they would get in contact with you?Anyone had experience of this? Thanks

Many surgeries expect people to call in for their results. I think that it is only when you get to consultant clinic level that they call or write to you with things. (depending on the surgery etc)
If you are worried, then call the surgery, just to put your mind at rest either way. There are many reasons why they may/may not get in touch with you.
    Good luck
    B x
  3. I agree - ring them. I know I had to ring for blood test results recently.
