How about something drink related. Therefore close(ish) to your initial suggestion but not food. Could be to share - i.e. something from Whittards tea that could lead to an afternoon tea. Or some flavoured coffees with the promise of a meet up and a chat over coffee (and cake - no pressure hint hint).

Why use giving a present as an excuse to make someone eat more? Anorexics will be able to see through a subterfuge like this, surely?
What about something absolutely unrelated to what is consumed by mouth?
I don't know about manicures and nails - I used to eat mine! - and they are still in the body image area.
