Hi, we are teaching the Year 6s about France this term and I'm planning it, first time I've planned Geography-anyone taught it before please? Have a braod outline, based on the QCA guidelines, but I am trying to plan some fun activities too if possible-thanks for any ideas.

My advice would be to scrap your broad outline based on the QCA unit - these are very prescriptive and often hinder imagination!
Go back to the National Curriculum and look at the objectives you want/need to cover and plan from there. Try to bring other subjects into your planning too e.g. art, D&T, Literacy to create a context for the learning rather than as a stand alone focus.
