GCSE Sociology resources. What do you recommend?

  1. Hi.

    So we are starting up a new GCSE Sociology course from September. I have to give a list of required resources. What do you recommend in the way of textbooks, teachers resource packs, subscriptions ICT resources, DVD'S etc? Please help, I am so stuck!! x

  3. What specification will you be teaching? I've been teaching AQA and the text books I use include 'Sociology GCSE for AQA' by Pauline Wilson and the Collins GCSE Revision book (also by Pauline Wilson). The Collins Website lets you browse through these books online: -

    Online classroom provides DVDs which are mainly aimed at AS/A-level students, but some maybe suitable for GCSE Level. This site also provides some free resources.

I will be also teaching an introduction to sociology course for freshman students at the university, any other suggestions for websites that can be helpful for me, in terms of additional articles, dvd's... i will be teaching in 'Sociology', the 6th edition of Anthony Giddens. di.agha@gmail.com
