Completing the square to solve quadratic equations and to find the turning points of curves. Does anyone know if the expressions will be in the form of ax^2 + bx + c, or simply x^2 + bx + c? I'm teaching AQA and there is nothing on the specs to say, and there does not appear to be any amplification published as yet.

Good point, a perfect example of the lack of detail in the new specs. Am I right in thinking that stretching graphs has gone from the transforming graphs part and thus maybe we are restricted to a=1 ?
