What games have you found worked well for teaching irregular verbs?
1. Introduce the irregular verb in the present tense and supply all the other irregular verbs that follow the same irregular pattern.
2. Provide a series of sentences in TL with a gap for the verb. Provide the infinitive in brackets. Pupils select the correct part of the verb to match the noun or the pronoun.
3. Do as in Step 2 but provide the verb required in the sentence and the pupils insert a noun or pronoun to match the verb ending.
4. Make the game more exciting by giving time limits and points for each correct answer. Or, allow pupils to work in pairs or teams.
If you have laminated 'boards' you reuse them with any tense/any verbs.
