    Year 1.

I've just read another post that suggested using the book funny bones to help teach measures in maths.

Measuring length of bones - leg, arm etc

Whoever wrote this or if anyone else has done this- can you offer more ideas or help. I'd like to do this for an observed lesson.

    Thank you - great idea!

What ideas do you have so far? What are you doing in the rest of the unit?

I have a worksheet for measuring parts of the body available on my website on the science page: http://www.communication4all.co.uk/http/Science.htm (click on 'My body').

I have also made a measuring bones/ordering size PowerPoint for a friend, to accompany this book, which uses a click and drop macro (macros will need to be enabled). It's not on the site but I will email it to interested people: email bevevans22@aol.com
