Frog/Lilly pad investigation Y6 - answers....ARRRGGG

Discussion in 'Primary' started by pemo, Jun 29, 2008.

  1. anyone done this with there class and know the pattern/rule etc??

If you are not sure what I mean here goes......

4 purple frogs on 1 side of the pond, 4 blue on the other. They want to swap sides. What is the minimum number of moves with the following rules:

the frogs can only jump onto an empty lilly pad next to them or jump over 1 frog to get to an empty lilly pad.
    b)Frogs can't go backwards?

Got the Sunday night brain freeze!

    Thanks
