Some of our staff would like it very much indeed, but there is no money. French at our school is taught by an ex teacher who is now a volunteer, a self taught teacher, a teacher with a degree in French, who doesn't want to teach it on top of all the other demands and a jobshare teacher. The children enjoy it, but there is no consistency. Once again, the government tried to do it on the cheap, and you get what you pay for. Then the children go to KS3 and all start again at the same point. I remember something like this when I was at school. I would be interested to know how other schools are placed.
