French films on the topic of school

Discussion in 'Modern foreign languages' started by moonlight35, Mar 11, 2011.

  1. 'Ma vie en rose' about a boy who feels like a girl. A great moving and very thought provoking IMO.

Au Revoir Les Enfants is set in a school, and as it's set during WW2 in a Catholic boarding school for fairly well off kids, it would provide a good contrast to films like Entre Les Murs in a modern school, and Les Choristes in a post-war school. It's also excellent for leading on to discussions about France during the Occupation.
