four years on temporary contracts

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by montebourg, Jan 5, 2012.

  1. i have been teaching at my school since 2008 on fixed term temporary contracts, having to apply and be interviewed for my last two posts. there will be a maternity cover positon of one term from september and I am just wondering if i am offered it and do not accept where that will leave me regarding redundancy. can the school put me on another temporary contract or do they have to make me permanent? I would obviously prefer a permanent, full time position.
