I always take an idea into the forest but frequently the children have ideas of their own.

I suppose you could say that Forest school is exploration outdoors, building confidence, working with others, building relationships, considering safety of themselves and others.....

There is so much I think it is mostly about what you want the children to get out of it but pay heed to where they take their learning. It sits so well with EYFS in particular because of its child led nature.

In our curriculum for EYFS we have Characteristics of Learning. All of these can be addressed in Forest School. I am sure that you have something similar.

Google Forest school. There is masses of info out there.
