foreign student joining in Year 6

    If she knows no English at all, she would benefit from www.byki.com which has a range of vocab games in a range of languages, including German.

    I would have thought that more important would be phrases like 'can i go to the toilet', 'help I'm not sure what I'm meant to be doing now' etc!!!

    This isn't about stuff to send her now, but my son's Yr 3 class have just had two Japanese cousins join. The teacher has written out common phrases and stuck them around the room, along with labels for specific items. My son is very impressed with the (small) bit of Japanese that he has learnt :)
