For more job satisfaction and better health avoid teaching

    i came from industry into teaching, and i disagree with a lot of this. that said i dont teach in the UK anymore, and i am VERY happy in my job. i am also paid significantly more than a UK teacher, and i have never earnt as little as teachers do in the UK, well apart from Spain. add in that i have not paid any tax, utility bills, or rent for over 10 years, and this only adds to my happiness. i teach small classes of engaged children in a very well resourced schools, and i get more holidays.......the headline should read:
    "For more job satisfaction and better health avoid teaching in the UK state system";)

    I think that teaching is a great profession, as long as you do not do it in the UK.
