Food chains - lesson ideas?

    Could you make cards (or get the children to make them) for different creatures in the food chain of several mammals/birds/reptiles. I am a ........ I like to eat .... I may be eaten by .......
    Each child is given a card at random. They then have to then sort themselves into the correct chain for each mammal/bird/reptile. You could make the cards big enough to hang around their necks on string or at least large enough to be read easily.
