Yak butter tea
You post some really obscure ones
@guinnesspuss. I thought I was being a bit weird with the Yak butter tea. What on earth is an aniseed ball?? I'm imagining a golf ball made of rock, but that can't be right.
Still sold. I got my love of them from my sweet-toothed father.
How can I have lived this long and not seen these? No.1 in the top ten! Above shrimps and sweet peanuts!!! I feel deprived. I'm putting these on my Christmas list to my OH.
Never had numbers: 1,3,6,8 or 9. Think I've had 10 if they are the same sweets I remember. I remember white mice but not chocolate mice or does it just mean white chocolate?
Still.... Tuttie fruities
Oh you've had a deprived childhood @peggylu! I used to love aniseed balls
"Shrimps' is ringing bells, but brain isn't answering...
3,4,5,6,7,8 I remember.
Were foam bananas just those soft but chewy bananas that you can still get?
From tuttie fruities...
Silk Frosting Icing
That's what I'm remembering on the banana front too. Same stuff as the shrimps but obviously yellow and banana shaped
Silk frosting icing ... no idea what that is but it sounds divine, and a bit posh!
You get two every time @Motherofchikkins how are you doing it I can never think of a drink.
Sometimes I look at my cocktail book! Is that cheating?
You are posh, you have a cocktail book! Not cheating at all All's fair in love, war and the food and drink game.
(Didn't need the book for that!)
Extra strong dram. - go on let me have it
(popular at the same time as aniseed balls I would guess).
No, aniseed balls go waaaaaaay back. My Dad had them as a lad and he would have been 101 this year. (He married late)
Tiramisu - a drink and a food.
