flu jab

    In the NHS they give the staff a flu jab, I think in some local authorities they give it to the kids in school - but are there any local authorities that give it to the teachers? Would save money would it not in reduced absences- just a thought.

    Used to in North Lan; ran out of money for it a few years ago, unless you're an essential worker (not teachers).

    Yes. Aberdeencity did at least until last year. I've now retired so don't know if they are doing it this year. As far as I am aware it was offered to all staff in all schools.

    Got the flu jab once. Was awful that year.
    Haven't had it since. Been fine!

    First year I've not had the jab. Maybe a few weeks "oan the panel" is what I really need.

    I don't know if any local authorities give a free flu jab.

    I would volunteer to be trained to do this for my senior staff.

    Possible advice on the choice of what to say before the jab could be amusing?
