Flexible Working ...

    We'd need to know your reasons for asking, since that's the crucial issue as to whether or not they should consider your request.
    PS Top tip: it's spelled governors.
  2. Have you contacted your union for advice?
    Is there a precedent for flexible working in your school? How does it work in practice?
    How would you organise flexible working and what exactly do you require? Is it part-time hours, or different hours each week?
    Basically you need to show how your request could be accommodated by the school without disruption to the school or the children you teach. If they refuse, they should provide reasons why. You should aim to refute these reasons, one by one, with a full expanation of why the reasons are not reasonable grounds for refusing you the hours you want.
