    Honestly I think my union rep made fan points and a big factor was the head being very reasonable. The decision had been made by a deputy and it hasn't even been ran by the head. After the meeting it was clear the head did not agree with or support the reasons given thank goodness.

    Brilliant, but it should never have been a decision that was taken by anyone except the headteacher with suitable HR advice.
