First interview for NQT position starting in Sept!

Discussion in 'NQTs and new teachers' started by Kayleigh.james86, Mar 16, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I was wondering if anybody had any amazing advice for me as i have an interview for a NQT position starting in September.
I know i'm going to have a year 2 class and I have to complete a 30 minute teaching session on any area of the curriculum with a main focus of Speaking and listening.
I've been given so much advice from lots of different people, main theme is 'keep it simple'! I want it to be simple, effective and memorable. Any thoughts?

  2. Pick your learning objective. Make sure it is clear and plan from there.
I would probably make sure there is a focus on speaking and listening.
