  1. What about going out and seeing educational opps in the area? Library service often have a section for Teachers ( if you have one open!), local museum often do a good historical walk, artefacts workshop, art gallery practical session, local walk etc. Another idea would be to share something you are good at and love teaching. It is good to do something together I think, which you can take back to the classroom to add more quality to provision.

    What teachers want is time and trust.
    Why not have a "professional day" were teachers come in and spend the whole day doing their own jobs and getting ready for the kids' return. That's my INSET wet dream.
    You could ask for a bullet pointed email from all, accounting for their time if you wanted to.

    Why don't you do some team building stuff in the morning, with a buffet lunch for everyone to share at lunchtime (bought in if possible) followed by a 'free' afternoon catching up on jobs in the classroom.
