Fired for Gross Misconduct - How do I move forward?

    Yes - never, ever lie on an application or cv, especially about your whereabouts.
     
  2. Given that potential employers (schools) are told to scrutinise application forms with a fine tooth comb for gaps etc you would be well advised to be honest.
    You lie in an application; you get found out; you get fired; you don't work with children again.
     
  3. You don't have to go into detail. Say you started the job, felt the place wasn't for you, and left after 7 months and went supply whilst looking for other work. If you don't need to get a reference from there, don't tell them anything more.
