Finding a job and teaching in Dubai

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by aimeehedley, Feb 5, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I am looking to move out to Dubai and I am trying to work out where to start, particularly as there seems to be none advertised. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places.
I am a drama teacher based in London and would like to have a new start. Can anyone help me with how to start this.
I seem to be going in circles and chasing my own tail.
    Thank you
    Aimee

Hullo Aimee! What an exciting plan.
You can go to the Teaching Overseas Forum here on TES and browse there to find info about working in Dubai.
Jobs available currently being advertised you can find in the TES Jobs. Do a JobAlert to give you early news of any jobs that come up.
You can also find a list of schools there http://www.dubai-online.com/jobs/schools.htm
A google search will give you more information.
    Best wishes.

The TES Careers Advice service runs seminars and workshops, one-to-one careers and applications advice, one-to-one interview coaching and an application review service.
I do Application and Interview one-to-ones, and also contribute to the Job Application Workshops. We look at application letters, executive summaries and interviews.
The next Workshops I'm doing that still have vacancies are on Sunday 13th and Friday 25th February. There is also a specialist Workshop for applications to SLT on Saturday February 19th.
Go to https://www.tes.co.uk/article.aspx?storyCode=6060678 for more details of these and other seminars.
    Look forward to seeing you!

  4. An excellent guide is available at http://dubai-forever.com/teaching-jobs-in-dubai.html that shows a multi-pronged approach towards searching for, applying to & securing the Teaching Jobs in Dubai of your dreams. Because a single approach will not work. You need to be proactive and not passive if you wish to really start a new life in Dubai.
