Glad you found something comforting to do. I’ve just had a cup of tea with a lovely 95 year old pal. We had a really good chat. It was good for both of us.

I agree with Lara, it is only just coming up to the first anniversary of your dear hubby’s death and that is probably throwing up feelings now in the build up to it. You’re newly retired and the first year of your retirement has been hijacked by Covid19. Marshall you have had a rollercoaster emotionally and it is now that your mind and body are starting to recover/adapt to your new circumstances. My beloved mum died in July and, like you with your dear hubby, I had nursed her and now here we are nearly in October and when I’m not at work I alternate between grieving, being busy and also bored out of my mind as I went from being on hyper alert to ironing things I never ironed before just to keep busy and distracted. I am a mixture of a wreck and getting on with it. I followed your thread closely last year and just want to remind you how fantastic you were coping with everything that was thrown at you at work as well as your hubby’s illness and your shoulder. God bless you dear Marshall, you are strong and resilient and I admire you greatly.

Fed up days you might have many. You probably join a huge number of folks in a similar situation.
Yet each day is new and inbetween working at tife we need to stop and stare and take stock.I hope and pray you manage to survive the seemingly empty days x
