...lonely and fed up.
So having a Harry Potter film day.
You need a big mug of tea and some choccie biscuits then. ((Marshall))
Bound to have a few of those Marshall. remember you just had a really roller-coaster couple of years.
Enjoy an indulgent day.

Glad you found something comforting to do. I’ve just had a cup of tea with a lovely 95 year old pal. We had a really good chat. It was good for both of us.
I've been pretending that I'm still on holiday and reading my book all day.
Thank you - you've always been there for me - it means so much xx
I agree with Lara, it is only just coming up to the first anniversary of your dear hubby’s death and that is probably throwing up feelings now in the build up to it. You’re newly retired and the first year of your retirement has been hijacked by Covid19. Marshall you have had a rollercoaster emotionally and it is now that your mind and body are starting to recover/adapt to your new circumstances. My beloved mum died in July and, like you with your dear hubby, I had nursed her and now here we are nearly in October and when I’m not at work I alternate between grieving, being busy and also bored out of my mind as I went from being on hyper alert to ironing things I never ironed before just to keep busy and distracted. I am a mixture of a wreck and getting on with it. I followed your thread closely last year and just want to remind you how fantastic you were coping with everything that was thrown at you at work as well as your hubby’s illness and your shoulder. God bless you dear Marshall, you are strong and resilient and I admire you greatly.
Just sending love, @Marshall. Take care.
Yes. It's been a hell of a year, Marshall. A hell of a year.
Sending a hug, @Marshall (((( )))), and hoping that a day of Harry Potter has lifted your spirits x
Thinking of you @Marshall. Sometimes the waves feel more like tsunamis xx
Sorry to hear you are fed up. I hope HP helped. X
Harry Potter and chocolate cake are a great combination. (((Marshall)))
Just echoing what everyone else has said. Be kind to yourself. It’s still early days.
Fed up days you might have many. You probably join a huge number of folks in a similar situation.
Yet each day is new and inbetween working at tife we need to stop and stare and take stock.I hope and pray you manage to survive the seemingly empty days x
Hot chocolate, tea, cake, posh biscuits, box set of what ever you fancy toc will really work if you stay in PJs or nighty
@Marshall you are allowed to feel however you feel. Be it down days, be it not so down days. Just be kind to yourself.
I find that Harry Potter always helps. Thinking of you @Marshall
smurphy6 - thank you for your lovely thoughts and I know exactly what you are going through. xx
