Feeling completely overwhelmed

    Hi everyone,
As I'm sat here typing on this thread, I'm painfully aware that I should be getting on with so many other tasks.
The trouble is, I just don't know where to start anymore. I teach 3 subjects that aren't my specialism on top of my specialism, the school brings in something new every week and I've just spend the entire weekend marking yet another set of PPE's (I have 350 pupils). Date drop is due this week too.
On top of that, my mentor wants me to have finished my NQT folder by Feb half term (first scrutiny on Tuesday) as my predicted sign off date is mid May and there are 2 learning walks coming up this week.

Bottom line is, I have just finished my second term successfully......but I am soooo tired. Tired of the constant pressure, tired of being a ghost in my house, tired of constantly worrying whether I'll pass something and tired of dealing with challenging behaviour.

Signed: a tired and fed up NQT

I really feel for you. If it's all getting too much at the moment, you must see your GP.

You can only do what you can do
What are the subjects you are expected to teach and to what level?

Thank you everyone for your kind comments and support. I’ve mentioned this at work today and was absolutely overwhelmed by the support and kind words from colleagues in my department.

Apparently I’m doing really well, should be proud of myself and I look like a “swan”. No one had a clue I was feeling like this.
My NQT folder scrutiny plus my learning walks are being rescheduled plus I had some tasks taken off me for this week to give me a definite day off this weekend.

Feeling lucky, supported and hopefully after next weekend a little less tired too.
NQT year, let’s be having you.
