feel like *** off on my own for a few days

Discussion in 'Personal' started by tod sal, Dec 21, 2011.

  1. So broke up yesterday and pretty exhausted ( busy day today) and, you know what it's like at the end of term- house is a real mess, no shopping done- no money to do it... Looking around the house and so much to do- painting half finished ( from last year!) and more more more. Just want to *** off and leave everything behind- on my own- stop thinking about thinking about others. Tearful and (sorry) but sick of putting others first.
  2. jeez the *** began with a B had a couple of G's and ending in ING. Should have put swanning...

It looks as though a bomb has gone off here but I came home from work at lunchtime today and was so tired that I went for a lie down for an hour. I decided it can all wait until tomorrow and I'll blitz it in preparation for the food shop on Friday and preparing to cook Christmas dinner.
We put ourselves under such a lot of pressure and try to work through when we're exhausted. I'll do nothing tonight other than relax.

Take a big deep breath - try to have a good sleep and then ask for help [IMG]
Hope you get what you need xxxxxxxxxx
  5. I've a funeral tomorrow- probably that's what's affected me aswell...
  6. Make a list and only do the things you like. That way you feel you are doing something .....you're just tired so have a break and rest. Sod the painting

f its really bad then clear space.sit down relax and stop the guilt! just take aday or two.after all why do we have to have houses all spick and span for christmas?
The just concentrate on the imortant issues such as your washing.cooking and maybe tidy the kitchen. You cant do it all at once.although a few super folk can but then tidy and hoover one room and the sit down and enjoy your down time........holidays are not a catch up time to do all you never did .they are your time to wind down and relax and recruperate...If painting does not get done ...tough.it will stil be there in the new year,if the bed is unmade.who will see unless your inviting some one or sharing it with some one..put on clean sheets/duvet..and just chill!

That is excellent advice to follow from oldsomeman. We broke up on Friday. I sat down and wrote a list out on Saturday of all the stuff that needs doing around the house and realised that I needed the six week summer holiday to do it all in.
So damage control. If we had visitors, what needs to be clean. Living room and bathroom. I can do that. Just aim for clean and not redecorated.
Having a funeral on top must be very distressing. I hope you get a chance to have a peaceful Christmas.
Take care of yourself, the house will still be there when you are long gone.
