Amazing and yes huge. But free or at least suggested donation. Look at the website and just choose a couple of bits to hone in on in that time. No need to do it all.

Its right next to the natural history and the science museum though so you could easily waste away a couple of hours in that area.
Or walk back to Kings cross. That's a great walk.

I think I did that walk once and find myself in China Town... which was fun.

If I do find any - I'm not letting any Seahorse anywhere near it.

Which is of course near Forbidden Planet. And there is, or at least was, a good CD shop between the two.

There's a forbidden planet in my home city.

I'm always tempted to go in and shout "The Daleks are coming"

    ..and then run away.

    Tickets bought!
I wont be making a long afternoon of it because I'm coming with husband who will spend an hour in the British library and then we'll go off to have an explore. Then we'll hope to see son2 for a spot of dinner before we get the late train home. I don't like travelling home on my own on a winter night so when I suggested we could go together he thought so too. I wont bring him for lunch though - he'd rather do his own thing.

I'm coming but I probably will not be able to stay too late either.

The V and A is miles from Kings Cross! Near Kings Cross are the British Library and British Museum.

Yeah. It’s not close to kc, but is just along the Piccadilly line. Only about 7 or 8 stops - 15 or 20 mins max. If you’ve got a couple of hours to kill it’s more than feasible to get a couple of hours in at south ken and get to kings cross by lunch.

Ooh, I think I’ll be able to join you if it’s Tuesday 19th - I’ll pop up to the station tomorrow and check out the tickets. I haven’t done a London meet before. Any advice?

Yes, don’t be nervous! Everyone I’ve met has been lovely! :)
I spent the day in London today and went to the Sky Gardens. It’s completely free and you can book your hour’s slot online up to three weeks in advance, so if you’ve got time to kill it’s well worth a visit!

I've found what I'll do... there's a Japanese exhibition in the British Museum.

I'll go to that... and then find a bookshop and camp out.

I'd like to come but have a commitment in the evening. I'd have to leave no later than 4. I'll miss all the wild shenanigans.....
