FAO Primary teachers who are NOT music specialists - Can you spare 10 minutes to give your views?

Discussion in 'Primary' started by mufc_be, May 10, 2011.

  1. Do you teach primary music but are not a specialised music teacher or music coordinator? If yes, please could you spare approx 10 minutes to complete an online questionnaire by clicking on the link below? There is an opportunity to be entered into a prize draw and the questions are all straightforward multiple choice. I have had a really good response rate but such a high percentage of people have been music coordinators that I really need to balance it out with people who have not specialised in music.

Having worked as a teacher myself I understand that music is a subject that many people find challenging and my research is looking the specific elements in which generalist teachers may feel more/less confident. I'm also looking at how important music is compared with other subject areas and the impact the school can have on teachers' views so feel free to comment below!

Just had a look at your survey - I am a music specialist so haven't completed it, however I would be very interested in knowing your findings.
